A year ago today, I started this crazy adventure called Unit Forward. The aim was simple: keep people informed about Dust Warfare, and try a few different things along the way.
The driving force behind the site’s creation was that too many wargames begin their lives as the latest new and shiny thing, only to drop off the radar when the next new and shiny thing comes out. I really like Dust Warfare, and didn’t want to see it share that fate. So, I identified that one of the big reasons why wargames seem to disappear soon after launch is because news on them becomes scarce. It’s out there, but who’s reporting on it? UF’s main focus became reporting on Dust Warfare news, with the occasional article, too.
Looking to the future, I’ve got plans for new stuff over the next few months. Zero Station, the Dust Warfare podcast, will launch this month, the UF YouTube channel will see more than just unboxing videos, and I’ll try to get more non-news articles up on the site. As always, the door is open to anyone who’d like to publish an article or two on Unit Forward. Just email hello AT unitforward.com and we can have a chat. Oh, and the site will also get a facelift soon!
Also, be sure to follow/like/circle UF on Twitter, Facebook and Google+, and subscribe to the YouTube channel.
Finally, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has visited the site, read an article, watched a video, chatted with me on social media, and said hello in the offline world. Dust Warfare is still in its infancy, and there can only be more exciting days, weeks and years to come!
